A Milestone in the Northeast: CURE India's 152nd Assam Clubfoot Training

On August 23, 2025, CURE India achieved a significant milestone in our mission for a Clubfoot-Free India with the successful completion of our 152nd Training on the Ponseti Method of Clubfoot Management. This landmark event was a powerful collaboration with the Government of Assam, held at the prestigious Guwahati Medical College & Hospital. This training was not merely a workshop; it was a testament to our unwavering commitment to empowering the medical community in the Northeast and ensuring that every child born with clubfoot receives timely and effective care.

The training brought together a diverse group of dedicated doctors from a wide range of medical institutions across the region. Participants came from Guwahati, Tezpur, Dibrugarh, Jorhat, Silchar, Pragjyotish Medical College & Hospital, and AIIMS Guwahati. Their active participation and enthusiasm underscored the growing recognition of the Ponseti method as the globally accepted gold standard for clubfoot management. By equipping these professionals with the most effective, non-surgical techniques, we are building a strong network of experts, ensuring that our life-changing services are accessible to children and their families throughout the region.

A Partnership for a Healthier Future

This collaborative effort with the Government of Assam is a cornerstone of our strategic model. We are truly grateful for their support and for the dedication of the medical colleges and all participating doctors. Their commitment is vital in addressing this critical public health issue and in creating a sustainable pathway for effective care. This partnership reinforces our mission and ensures that CURE India's model of providing free treatment can be scaled up to reach every corner of the country.

As the largest clubfoot program in the world, we have treated the most number of clubfoot children, and our robust national presence with 452 clinics is a testament to our reach. Our work is not possible without the support of our incredible community of donors. We are honored to be recognized as one of the Top 10 NGOs/Non-Profits in India, a distinction that speaks volumes about our credibility and our profound commitment to the transparency of fund usage. Your generous donation is the engine that powers these vital training sessions, allowing us to provide life-changing care completely free of charge.

Scaling Hope and Healing with RunFree2030

Our work is driven by an urgent and inspiring vision. We are currently treating 33% of children born with clubfoot in India. However, our ambitious RunFree2030 initiative is focused on scaling up our efforts to reach 70% of these children in the next five years. Training programs like this one in Assam are absolutely crucial to achieving this goal. By empowering more doctors and strengthening our network of care, we are ensuring that every child has the chance to walk, run, and thrive without disability. This is not just a mission; it is a promise to the next generation.

We are building a future where every child can walk with confidence and dignity. Your support is crucial to making a lasting difference. Together, we can eradicate clubfoot disability and create a healthier, more inclusive India.
