Setting the Standard: CURE India’s 160th Medical Training in Ranchi Empowers Healthcare Professionals with Advanced Ponseti Skills

The commitment to capacity building and clinical excellence is central to CURE India’s mission. We are proud to announce the successful completion of our 160th medical training program, held on November 22, 2025, at Sadar Hospital, Ranchi, Jharkhand. This milestone training represents a crucial step in ensuring that specialized, life-changing care is available to families across India.
The session was led by esteemed faculty members: Dr. Mathew Varghese (Hon. Medical Director, CURE India) and Dr. Venkatesan Sampath Kumar (Additional Professor, Dept. of Orthopaedics, AIIMS New Delhi). The training focused intensively on strengthening the skills of healthcare professionals in the non-surgical Ponseti method of clubfoot management—the global gold standard for treatment.
The program was enriched by the presence of the RBSK Nodal Officer as our Chief Guest, underscoring the vital partnership between CURE India and government health initiatives in the state. This collaboration ensures that the skills learned are immediately integrated into the public health system, improving access to free treatment.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all participants, the dedicated hospital staff, and our partners for their active involvement, enthusiasm, and commitment. Their support is crucial in making these training sessions impactful and accelerating our social impact.
As the largest clubfoot program in the world, having treated the most number of clubfoot children, our extensive national presence relies on these continuous educational efforts. Our credibility as one of the Top 10 NGO's in the country is validated by our investment in medical education and our unwavering transparency of fund usage.
This 160th milestone brings us one step closer to ensuring early, effective, and compassionate clubfoot care for every child in India. We are dedicated to our ambitious RunFree2030 vision: scaling our efforts to treat 70% of children born with clubfoot in the next 5 years.
Together, we continue building a future where every child can walk with confidence. You can support these vital training programs by making a donation or becoming a volunteer today at cure.org.in/donate.
