A Double Milestone in Gujarat: CURE India Celebrates 10,000 Children Treated and Hosts 161st Medical Training

It was a day of monumental achievement and heartfelt celebration in Gujarat! CURE India proudly conducted its 161st Medical Training on the Ponseti Method of Clubfoot Management, coinciding with a heartwarming celebration of transforming the lives of 10,000 children who have successfully received free treatment for clubfoot in the state.

The training was a resounding success, witnessing the dedicated participation of 67 doctors, further strengthening the clinical expertise available across Gujarat. The celebration was made even more special by the presence of 13 children—our little champions—whose confident steps reflected the life-changing impact of early and effective intervention.

A Confluence of Support and Expertise

The event was enriched by the presence of esteemed dignitaries who provided invaluable support and insights:

  • Chief Guest: Dr. Nayan Jani, Additional Director – Family Welfare.
  • Guests of Honour: Dr. Piyush Mittal (Director, Government Spine Institute), Dr. Santhosh George (Director, CURE India), and Dr. Navneet Patel (Gujarat Medical Council).

We extend our deepest gratitude to our respected faculty, Dr. Matthew Varghese and Dr. Anil Agrawal, for leading the training with profound expertise and commitment. Their teaching ensures the highest quality of care is delivered using the gold-standard Ponseti method.

Driving National Impact

This successful event stands as a powerful testament to the unwavering dedication of our faculty, guests, participating doctors, and the tireless CURE India team. This milestone of 10,000 children treated in a single state showcases the scale of our social impact and the efficacy of our programs.

As the largest clubfoot program in the world, having treated the most number of clubfoot children, our credibility as one of the Top 10 NGO's in the country is continuously validated by such achievements and our dedication to transparency of fund usage. We continue our mission of ensuring that every child with clubfoot receives timely and compassionate care.

We are actively working toward our ambitious RunFree2030 vision: scaling our efforts to treat 70% of children born with clubfoot in the next 5 years.

Together, we can ensure that many more children walk with hope and confidence. You can support this life-changing work by making a donation or becoming a volunteer today at cure.org.in/donate.
